The Master's Degree in Chemistry and Advanced Chemical Methodologies belongs to the Class LM-54 (Chemical Sciences). Students who choose to continue their studies by enrolling in the Master's Degree will be able to broaden their basic knowledge and acquire skills that meet the new needs of different occupational fields, in advanced and innovative sectors in chemistry that are the subject of the research activities of Course teachers, researchers and professors. Students will be able to acquire greater knowledge of the topics that interest them most, during the period dedicated to the thesis that can be prepared either in the research laboratories of the University or in industries, institutions and external laboratories that have an agreement with it.
Double Degree Programmes
The University of Camerino stands out in the national panorama for the number and quality of agreements stipulated with foreign Universities and Institutes. In the context of these collaborations, it was deemed appropriate to offer two students each year, who choose to follow courses for at least one semester at the partner institution, the opportunity to obtain a double degree thanks to an agreement stipulated with:
Instituto Superior Tecnico (IST), Lisbon (Portugal)
The fact that all training activities are delivered in English is an added value for the Course and allows Students to immediately become familiar with the language of science.
Opportunities after the Master's Degree
A Master's Degree Graduate can be in charge of projects for the development of innovative analytical methods, design and synthesis of molecules and new materials in:
- public and private research facilities;
- chemical and manufacturing industry;
- laboratories for the analysis, monitoring and management of the environment and the waste cycle;
- energy production and storage industries;
- laboratories of chemical analysis and related investigations for compliance and/or quality control;
Such a Graduate can also practice the freelance profession by registering with the Italian Register of Chemists - section A.
Furthermore, possession of the Master's Degree allows access to higher levels of education such as the PhD, both nationally and internationally, and higher-level Master's Degrees.
